A blend of Monastrell, Syrah and Petit Verdot. Deep ruby in colour; spicy, toasty, lightly smoky nose of baked plums; medium to full-bodied, dry, soft tannins. Spicy and savoury black fruit flavours with lively acidity.
Ego Bodegas has 25 hectares of vineyard, with varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourverde and Monastrell which are 50 years old. They are situated in a prime location within the beautiful area of Jumilla. The harvest is done by hand at precisely timed dates to preserve acidity and sugar. Each grape variety was fermented and macerated with on their skins separately during 15/20 days at a controlled temperature no higher than 28ºC. Ageing takes 4 months in American oak barrels then blended and fined.
