A Classic Greco with elegant refined notes of ripe fruit, Golden Delicious apples lifted by floral and acacia-honey nuances. The palate is fresh and structured with good balance and length and a perceptible bitter-almond finish.
The estate vineyards are located in and around the town of Montefredane, and situated at between 350m to 600 m above sea level. Soils combine volcanic rock and well-draining tufo, which are mineral-rich. Vines range from 25 to 50 years old. At this altitude, harvest typically runs into mid-October. The family historically has only made single-variety wines; in fact, winemaker Raffaele Troisi’s father was the first to bottle a commercial single-variety Fiano wine. Grapes are harvested by hand and pressed full cluster directly, fermenting on indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled, stainless steel tanks. Wines are aged on fine lees in tank.
