Details

Ruby red in colour with light garnet reflections. On the nose the wine has an intense bouquet revealing ample amounts of mature black fruit. The wine is soft and velvety on the palate and full-bodied, with balanced tannins and hints of almond in the lingering finish.

THE VINEYARD

The 130-hectare Di Majo Norante winery is located to the north of the Gargano in Molise on the estate of the Marquis Norante of Santa Cristina. The estate has been dedicated to the cultivation of vines since the 1800s and in 1960 a modern cantina was constructed and the vines replanted in the Ramitello zone. Optimal exposure, constant breezes during the summer and excellent soil composition combine to create a particularly favourable environment for the production of wine. Alessio di Majo runs the estate on a strictly organic basis (certification granted in 1997) and is advised by renowned oenologist Riccardo Cotarella.
