Pale yellow in colour. On the nose, scents of pear, stone-fruit and honey. On the palate, stone and orchard fruit with some citrus and notes of tropical fruit. The finish is mineral with salty hints. A very approachable and food-friendly wine. This is a good alternative to Sauvignon Blanc.

ABV 13%

The Cooperative Agrícola Castellana is situated in the heart of the DO Rueda, on the outskirts of the town of La Seca, where it was founded in 1935 by a small but dedicated group of ambitious wine-makers. Today it consists of some 400 members who between them cultivate 2,000 hectares of vineyards, with modern equipment for the production of seven million litres of wine per harvest (predominantly white wine), and facilities for maturing one million of these in oak. This Verdejo is packed with green fruit flavours and is unoaked.
